FAQ's

Q: How is Woodtone different than regular James Hardie siding?

A: Woodtone RusticSeries™ provides the natural warmth, contrast, and beauty of wood on durable James Hardie fiber cement.  It will feature a unique multi-tone color appearance whereas traditional James Hardie is a solid singular color.

Q: Is Woodtone a stain or a paint?

A: Woodtone RusticSeries™ is the original two-tone painted wood grain siding option, giving you a great alternative to stained cedar without the maintenance.

Q: Can I get other sizes or colors?

A: Woodtone RusticSeries™ is available in lap, shakes, panels & battens in 18 color choices with a 20-year coating warranty.

Q: What should I do for Trim?

A: There are a lot of different options for trim.  Generally speaking, the best look is to pair some sort of darker accent trim with your Woodtone siding.  Main trim options include James Hardie primed or pre-finished trim, Miratec trim, or Western Red Cedar.

Q: How do you clean Woodtone?

A: Use tap water to which a small amount of mild detergent has been added. Apply solution by cloth, sponge or soft brush. Immediately follow all washing by rinsing thoroughly with plain water from a garden hose. Do not power wash Woodtone products.

Q: What sealant and touch-up product should I use?

A: Color matched caulking and touch-up kits are available at Forest Products.
